Respected Teachers, guests on the dias, parents and my dear fellow students,
I am very fortunate to be here on teachers day …. I cannot even count the contribution that …my teachers have made in my life ….to be where I am today…. My teachers inspired me…guided me…corrected me…moulded me…motivated me…loved me…made a great contribution to my life…. which cant be measured by words alone….. I pay my respectful deep regards ,… and obeisance to all present teachers today and…. I expect all the students here to …..bow their heads in reverence to their ….precious contribution to the nation ….and nation building process.
Teachers are nation builders and ….responsible for moulding of the national asset and….. thus future of any nation..the students , youth…… Youth are just not young…..They are unbridled youth energy ,… a powerhouse…..which needs to be harnessed…. the most productive way….. Whoelse but teachers alone who can rightly handle this unbridled…. nuclear energy…..We should not undermine… the contribution of teachers in our life ….as we as students spend ….the most productive period of our day with them…..the Morning..noon and evening. …Rest we spend with our family ….our parents where we sleep off by 10 and wake up by 6….So need we say that we spend the most ….precocious period of day with them…. So no wonder their influence and inspiring methods which make a impression on our personality
A teacher provides education for pupils , or …(children) and students . …The role of teacher is maybe formal and ongoing,… carried out at a school but…. there is lot of their informal presence in our daily lives….. Teachers use a course of study which is called the curriculum but…. their influence is not restricted to curriculum alone…. There is lot of silent influence happening…... Isn’t it true that …..“Teachers teach more by what they are …..than by what they say.”….. In fact it is held that……. Teaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions.
I have always loved my teachers …..and highly respectful of them…. They have been my role models and whenever I see them I immediately ….bow down to touch their feet. ….For whatever I am today …they have an equal contribution…. as my parents would have….. They have a stake in ….my success……It is said that….the best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book.
In India still there are glimpses of guru-shishya tradition, or parampara, It is the tradition of spiritual relationship and mentoring in traditional subjects and otherwise with great undisputed reverence and absolute submissiveness, where teachings are transmitted from a guru (teacher, ) to a śiṣya (disciple, Such knowledge, whether it be , architectural, musical or spiritual, is imparted through the developing relationship between the guru and the disciple. It is considered that this relationship, based on the genuineness of the guru, and the respect, commitment, devotion and obedience of the student, is the best way for subtle or advanced knowledge to be conveyed. The student eventually masters the knowledge that the guru embodies.
Some common elements in this relationship include:
The establishment of a teacher/student relationship.
A formal recognition of this relationship, generally in a structured initiation ceremony where the guru accepts the initiate as a shishya and also accepts responsibility for the spiritual well-being and progress of the new shishya. Though this ritual may not be there but it is always present Mentally amonst the parents, the taught and the teachers. Thus learning becomes a divine experience.
Gurudakshina, where the shishya gives a gift to the guru as a token of gratitude, often the only monetary or otherwise fee that the student ever gives. Such tokens can be as simple as a piece of fruit or as serious as a thumb, as in the case of Ekalavya and his guruDronacharya. No amount of physical equities can compensate the value of knowledge transmitted from our gurus.
For a few minutes give me attention as I would like to point out what is good teaching and teachers may please listen to me:
Good teaching is as much about passion as it is about reason…. It's about not only motivating students to learn,…. but teaching them how to learn, and …..doing so which is relevant, meaningful, and memorable and enjoyable….. It's about caring for your craft, having a …passion for it, and ….conveying that passion to everyone, ….most importantly to your students.
Good teaching is about listening, questioning, being responsive, and remembering that each student and class is different. It's about eliciting responses and developing the oral communication skills of the quiet students.
Good teaching is about not always having a fixed agenda and being rigid, but being flexible, fluid, experimenting, and adjust to changing circumstances.
Good teaching is also about style. Should good teaching be entertaining? You bet! It is it doesn’t mean it lacks in substance? No way! Effective teaching is not about being locked with both hands glued to a podium or having your eyes fixated on a slide projector while you drone on. It is about getting every students participation especially the withdrawn , shy and quiet ones.
Hence good teachers work the room and with every student in it. They realize that they are the conductors and the class is the orchestra. All students play different instruments and at varying proficiencies.
This is very important -- good teaching is about humor. It's about being self-deprecating and not taking yourself too seriously.
Good teaching is about caring, nurturing, and developing minds and talents. Its about mentoring between senior and junior faculty, teamwork…. At the end of the day, good teaching is about having fun, experiencing pleasure and intrinsic rewards ... like locking eyes with a student in the back row and seeing the synapses and neurons connecting, thoughts being formed, the person becoming better, and a smile cracking across a face as learning all of a sudden happens….. Good teachers practice their craft not for the money or because they have to, but because they truly enjoy it and because they want to.
Hence the task of the excellent teacher is to stimulate "apparently ordinary" people to unusual effort. The tough problem is not in identifying winners: it is in making winners out of ordinary people.
Expressing his gratitude to teachers. Alexander the Great has said that ,I am indebted to my father for living, but to my teacher for living well. ~
A good teacher is like a candle - it consumes itself to light the way for other.
It is said that "There are three things to remember when teaching: know your stuff; know whom you are stuffing; and then stuff them elegantly."
Otherwise you may end up saying ….if you do not focus in class and ….remain for more than 1 year in same class…Smartness runs in my family. ….When I went to school I was so smart …that my teacher was in my class for ..five years.
While everyone would agree ….that the best perk of becoming a teacher is the opportunity to help children…. because the goal is to reach as many students ….and to show them that they can love learning….. When a parent tells you ….that their child loves to come to school, teachers really love these words to hear….They've reached that goal….They have the knack to turn kids on to reading…… And , when a parent tells them, - where they caught their child reading with a flashlight after lights out, the teachers are so happy. What if it is “mills and ..Boons’..
Few students must be finding teachers to be tough but let me say this today…If you think you"r teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss. He doesn't have tenure."…. Sooner or later you are going to end up with one…. Then you will realise who was better of the two. …And teacher’s toughness was always with a purpose and selfless goodness in mind…. Boss may not have that.
With these words I thank all the teachers for the great contribution they make to learning and to nation, and I pay my obeisance to all gurus on this day .

My speech on 15 august, 65th independance day :)
Dear colleagues,…and all Indians who love our nation
I welcome all of you on this august occasion as we gather here on 64th independence day to unfurl our national flag once again.
At the strike of midnight of the August 15, 1947, India shook off the shackles of British Rule and became free. It was a night of celebration all over the country. The world learned the power of nonviolent protest as Gandhi lead the diverse peoples of India in a struggle for home rule.
We commemorate our independence from British rule and its birth as a sovereign nation in 1947…Indian flag, representing India's long struggle for freedom is a national treasure. It signifies the status of India as an independent republic. Our national flag is a unifying force for our nation.
The love for our country is supreme. True love is so selfless…only we should have nations benefit in mind. This nation has given us love, care , nurturing and freedom..all of us love the fragrance of our nation…It is time we should all think of repaying something back to this nation, to the people of this beautiful country. Nation is always before self .Please have this approach in daily life if you love this country. This is the best gift you can give to our country.
We have already learnt the hard way how we got our freedom. The price of which we had to pay by losing so much precious lives and so many patriotic Indians.
If I were asked under what sky the human mind has most fully developed some of its choicest gifts, has most deeply pondered on the greatest problems of life, and has found solutions, I should point to India.

Let me share a story with you..
A man was selling balloons at a fair in a tribal village. He had balloons of different colors. To attract the attention of people, he would release a gas filled balloon into the air. When children saw the balloon go up, they would jump with joy and rushed to buy one.
The Balloon man was busy in attracting his little customers, when he felt someone pulling his kurta (traditional dress worn in India). He turned around and saw a little dark tribal boy asking him, "If you release a black balloon, would that also fly high?"
For a moment the balloon man was taken aback – why is this little boy asking such a question? His eyes fell on the dark skin of the body, and in a flicker of moment, the balloon man realized the matter!
With lot of affection, he moved his hand on the head of the little boy and replied gently, "Son, it is not the color of the balloon, it is what’s inside it that makes it go up!" Such is the character of our nation. We are multi cultural..ethnic, religious, yet we have something great within us that makes us a great nation. India is not a country or a mass of land , it is dharma’s abode. It is our land of great spiritual vibrations made up of saints, holymen of all faiths . This makes our nation so remarkable. We are proud of this.
Today Indians take freedom and liberty for granted they forgot who obtained it for them. The Indian Freedom Struggle is well documented and there is no doubt that Gandhi infused a new life into it. He took it from the drawing rooms of the rich to the poor peasantry in the villages to whom freedom and equality were not even conceiveable. In 1947 all Indians were given liberty and equality much before many western democracies! If there was no influence of Gandhi, then the Civil Rights movement in America may not have been non-violent. If Gandhi did not exist, it is quite possible that the Free world may be short of 1.2 billion people today and most Indians may not be living in a united India.
One day he was investigating Champaran village (in Northern India) riding on elephant when a British policeman saw him and drove him back to town and issued a legal notice of leaving the village immediately. He signed the order and wrote back, ‘I will disobey’. In those times, no one had courage to speak to common Englishmen but Gandhi had power to disobey British laws openly.
Let`s make another tryst with destiny and pledge to end poverty and ignorance and disease and inequality of opportunity.
The land I belong to,
The land I will die for,
The land that defines my identity.
This is my country &
My India….
Spread optimism
instead of Negativity
Live for nothing
Die for something…
FREEDOM IN THE MIND,
FAITH IN THE WORDS,
PRIDE IN OUR HEARTS &
MEMORIES IN OUR SOULS…
LETS SALUTE,
THE NATION ON 64nd INDEPENDENCE DAY!
Lets sing this song for our nation as a tribute to being born in this great land with me…
sare jahan se accha hindostan hamara
ham bulbulain hai is ki, yeh gul….sitan hamara
jai hind..vande matram…jai hindustan

Essential differences between Delhi and South India
I have had the opportunity of seeing both. Hailing from Delhi I have spent few years of my life in south india..and I think it is amazing here for mental peace…one is more relaxed here….more at ease and more simple people.
Delhi /// South India
People are so aggressive //// Not agressive
People flare up full blast at a slight provocation/// Do not pick up a fight…avoid it and fighting is a last resort
Life is insecure as cant trust anyone /// Law and order is better
There is scant respect for human life /// Life is respected
More show off /// No showoff…down to earth people
Shrewd people /// Degree of shrewdness is less
People are arrogant /// Down to earth people howsoever rich they are
People have loads of attitude /// Less attitude here

My speech at Nirmala Convent school, mysore as Chief Guest
Hello everyone and my dear young friends
It is indeed an honour to be here today , in this temple of learning. Schools are nothing but a place where the future of India is nurtured. Parents at home and teachers at school are most important influences in ones life. Hence school is a very important part of each one of us.
It is indeed a privilege to be part of this institution as I have been a part of this school as a child. Our father who art in heaven , hallowed be thy name..is the first prayer i ever learned as a child.
For parents I have to submit that child fo course is the focal point of our life. But it is said that if there is anything that you can give to your children is TIME, No amont of physical compensations can replace your position or cannot give that happiness , that is merely by your presence by their side. Your children need your presence more than your presents.
When you have brought up kids, there are memories you store directly in your tear ducts.
It is also said that Always kiss your children goodnight - even if they're already asleep.
Of course nurturing children is not easy. It is said that and I quote “Before I got married I had six theories about bringing up children; now I have six children, and no theories. “
It is also said that :If you have never been hated by your child you have never been a parent. So nurturing requires knowledge of the childs behaviour and activities before he or she can be disciplined. Discliplining is a way of life to nurture and mould talent in a favorabe way. Of course it has to be done in a very friendly way. Because simply having children does not make mothers.
For it is said that Although there are many trial marriages... there is no such thing as a trial child.
Since as a parent ....You will always be your child's favorite toy.
And There is only one pretty child in the world, and every mother has it.
The nurturing has to be done in time or else it is said that Small children disturb your sleep, big children your life
For the students I have to say that you are the future of this country. Please be focussed, have an aim in life and achieve it. DO not be like a free floating balloon that has no destination. Preparing for life and for success starts very young. DO not postpone or think that let me be 18 then I wil decide what to do..till then it is films, parties, picnics. If this is the approach then I am afraid to say you may miss the bus for ever.
For it is said that “Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power.”
For Losers make promises they often break. Winners make commitments they always keep.So choose where you decide to be in. Be determined to succeed and to succeed you must be determined to work hard. Only work follows success and it is always the same sequence. Be prepared to take the dive. Or else wile away your time and miss the bus for ever. End up as junk or as a person who could never realise her potential. And remember opportunity never knocks again . it is once. The only discipline that lasts is self-discipline.It can never be imposed. That will be counterproductive.
For teens it is said that for a Teenager: 'No' is a complete sentence
The amount of enthusiasm youngsters like you have is simply unmatched. Everyone has his or her fond memories of teenage, which are close to their heart.
For students should note that There are three sides to any argument: your side, my side and the right side.
Always be on the right side or else you are fooling yourself. And fooling yourself is not going to last long. One day all will collapse like a pack of cards.
Remember Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve
And Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude."
Of course development has to be all round. Participation in curricular activities in a way adds to your personality. Apart from mastering academics, opportunities for debating , dance, music should not be left unexplored as these are a method of self expression. Of course these also lead to good communication skills. And good communication skills are going to make you come out in flying colors in interviews and in your workplace. You can be on top of the world and effective manager. The foundation stone of this seed is laid in schools.
It is said that SILENCE Is d best Answer for all questions...
SMILE Is d best Reaction in all situations
Unfortunately BOTH Never Help In any EXAM, VIVA, REVIEW & INTERVIEW. So choice is yours.
It is said “ You are only young once, and if you work it right, once is enough.
It is said your success lies in your dreams. SO go to sleep….DONT ..wake up , live up and work hard ..to realize your dreams, every second. Become obsessed with achieving it and be excited to find the right path quickly.
It is so important to be focused in life. If this is wasted then it is like you have been derailed from the journey of success and achievement oriendted pathways in life.
It is said if you work hard the first 25 years of your life..you can enjoy for the rest of your life. Doing mere signatures. Or else you write big notes. So this time is so so precious for you.
Academics..excellence..achievement..cocurricular activities..that should be your motto. If this time is wasted . it is going to derail you forever..for these things lead to regret later… a cool sigh… a lost dream …a disappointment.. I do not think anyone deserves it.
Some people are so confused . It is said “I wish I was given a map of life when I was born, Just wanna be sure where I am headed now...” This is a lack of focus.
It is said that Waiting is painful. Forgetting is painful. But not knowing which to do is the worse kind of suffering.
I quote “I was born to be a pessimist. My blood type is B Negative”
Don’t be !!!
It is very important to be positive and be among positive people. Nothing is impossible if you are motivated to achieve. It is a threshold that you have to cross. Once you do…I can say even you do not know your limits. Sometimes you get surprised about your extents.
It is said that “The Life is an invisible curve,Go and face everything.”
Never argue with a person who discourages your dreams. Arguing with a such a person is like wrestling in the mud with a pig. Sooner or later you figure out that nothing happens to you but the pig seems to enjoy it.
Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them.
A race horse that consistently..runs just 1 second faster..than others is worth millions of dollars more......So don’t compromise on 2nd position in life.
The moment you flip a coin, you know what your decision is. not because of the side it landed, but because in the few seconds the coin was in the air, you knew what you wanted.
You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.
Habits begin as cobwebs, then become cables.
Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
My friend has a fine watch dog. At any suspicious noise he wakes the dog and the dog begins to bark.
They call our language the mother tongue because the father seldom gets to speak.
Don’t Guess A Person’s Character On His Present Situation
Coz Time Has The Power To Change An Ordinary Coal Into A Precious Diamond….
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
God saw your parents hungry, he created meal
God saw they are thirsty, he created coke
He saw them walking, he created car
He saw them without problems, he created you.
Go and grab the world..it is waiting for you with baited breath.

My speech on the occasion of inauguration as CHIEF GUEST at intercollege festival at Kautilya Vidyalaya,Mysore
Hi friends
I consider it fortunate to interact with you today on the occasion of Kautilya Intercollege youth festival. On this momentous occasion I hail the power of youth!! The fountain of boundless energy unleashed!!!
It is said “ You are only young once, and if you work it right, once is enough.
“ one thing that is…. Incredibly, inordinately, devastatingly, immortally, calamitously, hearteningly, adorably beautiful….is youth.
You are the future of this country. You have aspirations. Hopes , dreams..to be realized to go on to the top of the world.
Or else you write big notes.(clerk) So this time is so so precious for you.
Academics..excellence..achievement..cocurricular activities..that should be your motto. If this time is wasted . it is going to derail you forever..for these things lead to regret later… a cool sigh… a lost dream …a disappointment.. I do not think anyone deserves it.
I think all of us are equally intelligent..it may be specific to an area..but remember whatever you do excel..be the best. Be an achiever in life. Once you achieve this platform the world looks so beautiful ….. that you can be a role model for others.
Some people are so confused . It is said “I wish I was given a map of life when I was born, Just wanna be sure where I am headed now...” This is a lack of focus.
Life in the end is a sumtotal of missed and utilized opportunities. So if you miss the bus at the opportune time..you have missed gravely in life….your level later on..or at what stature you would be.
It is said that Waiting is painful. Forgetting is painful. But not knowing which to do is the worse kind of suffering.
Don’t be like this. Have a rough plan for your life and career.
And my emphasis is on you for excelling now..being totally focused..obsessed…avoiding all distractions totally…remember any distraction are your gravest enemies..if you lose your focus and keep on losing it you are doomed for life.
Maybe you are very bright but the brightness fades away quickly ,gets clouded, and dissipates in the wrong company. So a very bright talent goes down the drain. Irreparable damage. Lost for ever. For the right time for it to nurture is so important.
You can choose your vocation or become a bureaucrat like me.It is said that “The only thing which saves us from the bureaucracy is its inefficiency.”
Become a fanatic for achieveing. It is said that “A fanatic is one who won't change his mind and won't change the subject.” Such should be your level of commitment for achieving and efforts to excel.
There are two kinds of people, those who do the work and those who take the credit. Try to be in the first group; there is less competition there.work work and work and achieve. Go on top.
Never argue with a person who discourages your dreams.Arguing with a such a person is like wrestling in the mud with a pig. Sooner or later you figure out that nothing happens to you but the pig seems to enjoy it.
It is hard to convince a high-school student that he will encounter a lot of problems more difficult than those of algebra and geometry. So life begins after degree..after your graduation ..real struggle begins..the 2-3 years after you graduate..for interviews.competetions all are going to decide your fate…so the effort that you put in now is going to decide your stature.
Isnt it true…Little children, have headache; big children, have heartache. So no distractions.
Orelse parents may learn this..it is said “The best way to keep children at home is to make the home atmosphere pleasant, and let the air out of the tyres.”
Some tortures are physical...And some are mental,..But the one that is both..Is dental.
Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them.
Treat your password like your toothbrush. Don't let anybody else use it, and get a new one every six months.
A race horse that consistently..runs just 1 second faster..than others is worth millions of dollars more......
Don’t compromise on 2nd position in life.
The moment you flip a coin, you know what your
decision is. not because of the side it landed, but because in the few
seconds the coin was in the air, you knew what you wanted.
Go and grab the world..it is waiting for you with baited breath.
